When will the NDIS be coming to your area?

NDIS rollout 1 July

Published on June 29, 2017

1st July – the NDIS countdown is on.

With a scheme such as the NDIS sweeping the country, it is important to get it right – and to get it right the first time. Due to the sheer size of the scheme, existing and new service users will be able to access services in various stages as it rolls out.

The initial rollout of the NDIS began on the 1st July 2016. A year later, 1st July 2017 marks an important date for a number of participants in various regions across five state and territories as it rolls out across:

  • Northern Territory
Darwin Remote, Katherine and eligible people in supported accommodation in Alice Springs
  • Queensland
    Ipswich
  • New South Wales
South Eastern Sydney, Sydney, Far West District, Illawarra Shoalhaven, Mid North Coast, Murrumbidgee, Northern NSW and Western NSW
  • South Australia
Barossa Light and Lower North and Northern Adelaide for adults aged 18 to 64 years
  • Tasmania
    Children aged 4 to 11
